Legislation on Providing Palliative Care

Legislative acts related to the field of palliative care in Ukraine:

  • Law of Ukraine No. 3611-VI dated 07.07.2011 "On Amendments to the Fundamentals of the Legislation of Ukraine on Health Care on Improving the Provision of Medical Assistance";
  • Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 333 dated May 13, 2013 "Procedure for acquisition, transportation, storage, release, use and destruction of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors in health care institutions"
  • Order of the Ministry of Health No. 77 of February 1, 2013 "On state registration (re-registration) of medicinal products and amendments to registration materials"
  • Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 311 dated April 25, 2012 "On the approval and implementation of medical and technological documents on the standardization of palliative medical care for chronic pain syndrome."
  • Order of the Ministry of Health No. 768   dated November 7, 2011 "On approval of material and technical equipment reports and sample staffing standards of the Hospice health care facility, Hospice at Home visiting teams, palliative department."
  • Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 463 of June 26, 2009 "On the approval of measures for the development of palliative care in Ukraine for 2009-2010", which became the basis for the creation of the Department of Palliative and Hospice Medicine of the P.L. Shupyk
  • National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The first graduation of cadets of the Department of Palliative and Hospice Medicine of the P.L. Shupyk National Medical Academy took place in 2010.
  • Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 159-0 dated 24.07.2008 regarding the establishment of the State Enterprise (SE) "Institute of Palliative and Hospice Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine" as a basic scientific , methodical and clinical institution for helping people with incurable diseases and a limited period of time (forecast ) life.    
  • Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 175-0 dated August 6, 2008 regarding the assignment of functional obligations to the State Enterprise "Institute of Palliative and Hospice Medicine of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine".
