The initiative of the League to create a palliative center for children in the capital was supported

According to Order No. 470 of the Department of Health Protection of the Executive Body of the Kyiv City Council dated September 30, 2015, "On the Creation of the Center for Palliative Care for Children in Kyiv", the construction of the first Center for Palliative Care for Children in Kyiv has begun. The decision to create such a Center was discussed and adopted at the level of the Kyiv City Council's standing commission on health care and social policy under the chairmanship of Yu.V. Krykunov. with the support of Kyiv City Mayor V. Klychko and Deputy Mayor M. Radutskyi.

The center is being created in the premises of the Kyiv City Clinical Skin and Venereal Hospital, which has excellent conditions for expanding the department into 10 separate single wards with separate exits to the street, which is important for creating an opportunity for small patients and their families to visit their loved ones and go for a walk at any time of the day.

Also, in the free premises of the hospital, a site has been prepared for the creation of an on-site mobile multidisciplinary team, as an extremely important component of the structural unit of the center. It is from this brigade that the operation of the Center and work with the medical staff of the city of Kyiv, which provides medical assistance to children with severe incurable diseases, as well as their families, will begin. This institution is located next to the Kyiv City Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1, which is a multidisciplinary institution ready to provide any assistance to the Center's patients, as well as next to the Ukrainian Medical Center for the Rehabilitation of Children with Organic Damage to the Nervous System of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the Kyiv City Union of Samaritans of Ukraine, which has been caring for palliative patients for a long time.

On October 9, 2015, at the invitation of the Chairman of the Kyiv City Council's Standing Committee on Health Care and Social Policy Yu.V. Krikunova. a delegation of Kyiv partners in the rehabilitation of the heads of the Munich ICP Center (Children's Rehabilitation Center), Dr. Hans Bruye and Thomas Pape, was in Kyiv.

The delegation consisting of the Chairman of the Ukrainian League for the Promotion of the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care (hereinafter referred to as the League), Doctor of Medicine. Today, the Center needs and invites anesthesiologists, pediatricians, children's neurologists, nurses and junior medical personnel to work.
