The Chairman of the Board of the NGO "Ukrainian League for the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care" Vasyl Knyazevich made a working trip to Lviv

The Chairman of the Board of the "Ukrainian League for the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care" Vasyl Knyazevich began his visit to the Communal Lviv City Hospital "Hospice" (hereinafter - KLML "Hospice"). KLML "Hospice" is the first institution of palliative care created in Ukraine, a hospital with 30 beds, it is here that incurable (incurable) patients can receive professional, specialized, complex and multidisciplinary palliative care.

As noted by Volodymyr Zub, the head of the health care department of the Lviv City Council, repairs were carried out at KLML "Hospice" and an elevator was installed at the expense of the local budget. The installation of an elevator in the hospital made it easier for the medical staff and improved the conditions of palliative patients in the hospital.

Together with the leadership of the health care department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, Vasyl Knyazevich visited the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children's Medical Center (mobile hospice), which is a communal institution of the Lviv Regional Council that provides highly specialized care to children and adolescents with acute and chronic diseases.

The center was established in 1990 by the decision of the Lviv Regional Council of the 1st Democratic Convocation, and until 2009 it was called "Lviv Regional Children's Specialized Clinical Hospital". of which - for the first time in Ukraine.

The center is a clinical base for several departments of Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyi and a number of medical colleges.

In the premises of the scientific library of the Ukrainian Catholic University, Vasyl Knyazevich met with the winners of the regional selection in the nominations for the "Order of Saint Panteleimon" award for professionalism and charity of the regional council of the Lviv region in 2018, the head of the regional council Oleg Duda told how the selection of winners took place, what the criteria were were taken into account during selection.
Vasyl Knyazevich thanked for the invitation to visit, and also noted that UCU is the flagship of science and culture for Ukraine and the issues developed by the University are extremely important and need to be applied throughout Ukraine. The Chairman of the Board of the League wished further prosperity and development for the benefit of our state.
