A conference dedicated to the development of hospice and palliative care in the region was held in the city of Dubno. The organizer of the conference is the Dubensky Medical College, which has the only department of palliative medicine in the region. The conference was attended by the chairman of the board of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian League for the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care" Vasyl Knyazevich, deputy chairman of the Rivne Regional Council Stepan Pavlyuk, director of the college Nadiya Vengryn, mayor of the city of Dubno Vasyl Antonyuk, representatives of public organizations, teachers and students of the college .

The participants of the conference discussed the problems of financing, material support of hospice and palliative medicine institutions and the participation of volunteer organizations in this, professional training of personnel for work in the field of palliative and hospice care.
The participants of the conference discussed and recommended the implementation of the proposal to create a team that should go to people who need this kind of help and deliver them to the department of palliative medicine operating at the Duben Medical College.
