In Kirovohrad Oblast, a video lesson was prepared on how to prevent bedsores in palliative patients at home
Civil society traditionally takes the initiative to help palliative patients and their families. Thus, in Kirovohrad Oblast, activists of the regional branch of the All-Ukrainian Network of PLHIV presented a video lesson "Prevention of bedsores in palliative patients at home" to students of the local medical college.
This video will be useful for relatives of palliative patients, it will help them take care of them to avoid bedsores. "This is a unique experience of cooperation: the public, acting as a mouthpiece for a wide range of people, broadcasts the professional knowledge of medical college specialists with the common goal of helping, explaining, reaching out. It's not the first time we've talked about how important it is when you walk the path of advocating for changes in the system of providing comprehensive palliative care and someone nearby joins in and helps," said the head of the Kirovohrad Medical College named after Mukhina Svitlana Bondar. She noted that the shooting process was difficult, but interesting, the students were very interested in seeing the informational product they had put their efforts into.
The developers of the video lesson note that students are always open to any form of cooperation and are ready to share their knowledge, because they understand how important it is to join socially useful initiatives. Someone, after watching a video, will learn something new, and for someone it will help to change their attitude when they give up.
