The bright memory of the outstanding scientist-pediatrician Olena Lukyanova will always live in the hearts of Ukrainians

The "Ukrainian League for Promotion of the Development of Palliative and Hospice Care" expresses its deepest condolences to the staff of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, the "Institute of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine", the Association of Pediatricians of Ukraine, the scientific school, relatives and friends on the death of Olena Mykhailivna Lukyanova .

Olena Mykhailivna stood at the origins of domestic pediatrics, was the founder of the first Ukrainian scientific school of children's gastroenterology and ecology, one of the founders of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. Under her supervision, a number of important national and state medical and social programs aimed at improving the health of children and women were implemented in the state. As the author of 600 scientific works, 15 manuals and textbooks, encyclopedias, 28 copyright certificates and patents of Ukraine, she made a significant contribution to the development of pediatrics not only in Ukraine, but also in the world.

Olena Mykhailivna Lukyanova's merits in the development of medical science, her scientific and social activities have been recognized with high international and state awards. One of the first domestic doctors in 2009, she was awarded the honorary departmental award of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine - "Cross of Panteleimon the Healer".

The bright memory of the outstanding children's doctor Olena Mykhailivna Lukyanova will forever remain in the hearts of thousands of her patients, students and colleagues.
