Vasyl Knyazevich and Lyudmila Denisova discussed the problems of palliative care in the context of social policy

Cooperation of social and medical sectors in the state should reach a qualitatively new level today. This was discussed at the working meeting of the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian League for the Promotion of Palliative and Hospice Care (hereinafter referred to as the League) Vasyl Knyazevich with the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Lyudmila Denisova. During the meeting, the parties agreed on joint measures and further work in the field of forming a national system of palliative and hospice care, the place of palliative care in the social sphere, the need to introduce new specialties, etc.

According to Lyudmila Denisova, the state is currently primarily concerned with the problems of those unprotected sections of the population that are in the ATO zone. It is about the evacuation of boarding schools for the elderly, those who do not have relatives, etc.. In turn, Vasyl Knyazevich focused on a problem that will not be solved even after the end of the war, because widows, orphans, military invalids will remain in the state, and here it will be about social protection, and about rehabilitation, and about the help of psychologists, etc. Such challenges once again confirm the importance of the indivisibility of the medical and social sectors.

The parties also agreed on the idea of reviving the "Cross of Panteleimon the Healer" honorary award, which was introduced in 2009 and today has great moral and political significance for doctors, philanthropists, and volunteers who, in a difficult time for the country, do everything possible to save and helping others.
