In Poltava region, a palliative care department was opened in Kobelyatka Central Hospital
A new palliative ward with 20 beds of hospice care was opened on the basis of the Kobeliatskyi Central District Hospital (CRH).
One of the premises of the central district hospital was allocated for it, repair work began in August last year. Wards for patients, rooms for medical staff and material and technical equipment meet modern standards. Comfortable conditions have been created for patients, and the medical staff, the number of which is 18 units, will provide constant care and provide professional assistance.
Since the creation of such a department is not only a medical, but also, first of all, a social issue, the deputies of the district council actively participated in the implementation of the project, who supported the decision to create this department, and allocated funds in the amount of 134 thousand 500 due to the over-execution of the district budget UAH for carrying out repair works. In addition, the Red Cross Society provided a cart, and the sister city of Zingen (Germany) provided rollators and multi-functional beds.
During the opening, the chief doctor of the Central Hospital Volodymyr Kazirod showed the guests the renovated department and thanked everyone who was involved in the implementation of such a project, who helped organizationally, technically and financially. He emphasized that immediately after the opening, patients from other departments will be transferred to the hospice department.
The opening of the palliative department was attended by the chairman of the district council Volodymyr Kishinskyi, the chairman of the RDA Tamila Shevchenko, the chief doctor of the Central Hospital Volodymyr Kazirod, the deputies of the district council: Dmytro Omelyanenko, Oleg Reshetylo, Vitaliy Bilanenko, Mykola Drobina, Ivan Klymenko, Volodymyr Zhukov, Nina Yasynska, Anatoliy Taranushych, Oleksandr Tkachenko, medical staff of the hospital and representatives of mass media.
