Kharkiv children with incurable diseases will be provided with high-quality and qualified assistance
A hospice for children with incurable diseases in the terminal stage was opened in Kharkiv on the basis of the city children's hospital No. 5. According to the Kharkiv City Council, the institution is designed for the permanent stay of 20 children with their parents.
The department is fully equipped for palliative patients, it provides qualified medical care and pain relief, provides special nutrition, as well as psychological support for children and their relatives.
In the near future, the hospital will open an outpatient clinic for children with autism and other psychoneurological diagnoses.
The Kharkiv city government also promises to allocate additional funds for the expansion of the palliative department, so that the need for palliative care for Kharkiv residents is fully met.
