We cordially invite you to participate in the modular program on bioethics of the Ukrainian Catholic University
Ukraine is making a lot of efforts to overcome the crisis in the field of medicine. An important step on this path is the humanization of medicine, which should be implemented both in the personal-professional and socio-political dimensions, with the aim of establishing key moral values.
The modular program on bioethics is aimed at familiarizing students with basic bioethical principles by analyzing specific medical and bioethical cases (cloning, abortions, contraception, analgesics, and others).
This program is aimed at :
- Deepening of ethical principles that will serve as practical tools in daily activities;
- A better perspective of personal, professional and spiritual growth, a field for discussions, communication, sharing experiences;
- Together with the best Ukrainian and international experts in medicine, law, bioethics, theology and psychology.
The modular program on bioethics will allow you to familiarize yourself with medical innovations and, at the same time, deepen your understanding of the basic ethical principles that will serve as practical tools in solving issues of daily practice. For this, we offer a number of courses in a modular format with the best Ukrainian and international experts:
- genetics professor Yuriy Monchak, lecturer at McGill University and Montreal University;
- Emily Anderson, PhD in health care ethics, lecturer at Loyola University, USA;
- Vasyl Lonchyna, professor of emergency surgery at the University of Chicago, surgeon, lecturer at several medical centers in the USA;
- at. Arnaldo Pangrazzi, professor of pastoral sanitation, doctor of theology;
- at. Ihor Boyko, doctor of theology, corresponding member of the Pontifical Academy "Pro vita";
- Halyna Datsko, obstetrician-gynecologist, doctor of ultrasound diagnostics;
- Petro Darmoris, head of the Anti-Corruption Center of the UGCC Commission;
- Maria Yarema, Doctor of the Pontifical University Regina Apostolorum (Rome, Italy).
