Vasyl Knyazevich, head of the board of the All-Ukrainian public organization "Ukrainian league for the development of palliative and hospice care", as a guest of Svetlana Shevchuk on the air of prm.global KUB. The level of palliative medicine in Ukraine, existing problems in the health care sector and ways to solve them were discussed. According to the expert, the establishment of palliative care is a culture inherent in highly developed countries. 30% of Ukrainians do not ask for help at all. We are initiating a volunteer movement, where there will be five to ten thousand volunteers." The public organization "Ukrainian league for the development of palliative and hospice care" was created in 2010 and united caring people - doctors, public figures, scientists, church representatives, volunteers and patrons to promote the development of palliative care in Ukraine. According to the expert, Ukraine needs to emulate the experience of Great Britain and Germany, where palliative care is at a high level.
